Promising Futures provides Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled–Habilitative (ICF/DD-H) across three residential homes, where our highest priority is the safety and well-being of each individual, while ensuring they feel that this is truly their home.
We are committed to creating a warm, family-style environment where individuals feel comfortable, respected, and valued. Our homes are not institutional settings—they are places where residents build routines, share meals, celebrate milestones, and create meaningful connections. We strive to foster a strong sense of belonging, stability, and dignity.
Residents are supported in daily routines, household activities, and community experiences that promote independence while honoring personal choice.
Our program emphasizes active treatment, providing structured, individualized support through nursing services, behavior management, and habilitative programming delivered by a highly trained team.

Hillside is a vibrant home where five clients enjoy a relaxed, fun-filled environment. From tending to their garden to weekend outings, they love spending time together. Whether it’s boba runs, Crumbl Cookies, or movie nights, Hillside is all about connection and enjoyment.
Agape House
El Cajon CA
Agape is an energetic and engaging home where five clients enjoy staying active and creative. Experiencing life through art, music and fun! From projects to karaoke nights, the home is filled with laughter, music, good food and meaningful connections.
Holly House
Ramona CA
Holly is a welcoming home for six clients who value both independence and connection. Residents enjoy cooking programs, movie nights, and spending quality time with staff. With a love for Mexican food and relaxing on the patio in nature, Holly offers a calm and supportive environment to call home.

We’re excited to announce that Promising Futures, Inc. will be attending the Cuyamaca Spring Garden & Butterfly Festival this year! 🌿🦋
This highly anticipated community event brings together The Water Conservation Garden, Cuyamaca College, and the Heritage of the Americas …Museum for a full day of nature, music, learning, and family fun.
With over 90 craft vendors and nonprofit partners, butterfly releases, live music, interactive activities, and even Dino Land and alpacas, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! From the largest plant sale of the year to food trucks and hands-on experiences across campus, it’s a beautiful way to celebrate spring and connect with the community.
Our team will be there representing Promising Futures and sharing the incredible creativity and impact of our programs—we’d love for you to stop by, say hello, and support our mission!

Promising Futures, Inc. recently received a grant from the @foundationfordd and we are incredibly grateful for their support.
This funding is already making a meaningful impact by allowing us to expand sensory and music-based programming for the individuals we serve. For adults with …intellectual and developmental disabilities, access to structured sensory engagement and creative outlets is critical for regulation, communication, and overall quality of life.
Our clients have embraced these new opportunities with enthusiasm. We are seeing increased engagement, self-expression, and meaningful participation across our program.
This grant is an important step toward our long-term goal of developing a fully inclusive music and sensory therapy program at Promising Futures.
